Unfortunately that's not quite the correct assumption. As already been
discussed elsewhere, we have to consider accessibility and
orthogonality, especially when there are people who could be potentially
clueless about the entire Linux/FOSS thing. We might not be encountering
such people now, but we could in the future, so that's why I suggested
such a mechanism. But anyway, that's just a suggestion, and I'd
appreciate any comments (constructive or otherwise ;-) about it.

And as for the record, I've just subscribed myself to plug-misc. Thank
you for reminding me. :-)
