Fair enough that linux is a preferred platform for 3D graphics. I'd just
like to see someone paying attention applications that need color
management. Strangely enough, EFI's X3 range of color print controllers are
built on top of Linux (Their latest X5.5 though is Windows XP ) which proves
that an interested party can create a color management platform on top of OS
implementations.

And please don't ask me which flavour its  built on top of since I have no
idea :)
