Thomas, Now, this is interesting. I tried printing the status page which is supposed to show a range of colors from each cartridge as well as information about the printer in black. All that appeared on page 1 was a few yellow boxes (a range of shades in each batch) and a narrow yellow bar across the top. The second page was blank. Printing the demo page again produced only the yellow areas. So, with a new black toner cartridge and both magenta and cyan indicating suffient material, none of them are printing. But, when I printed a color .png image it was all in shades of grey. And CUPS reports this printer driver as: HP Color LaserJet 2500 - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.11 (grayscale, 2-sided printing) when it should be color and 1-sided printing.
