I removed flashplayer, and installed pepperflash. Do you have it working
with Firefox? Ed talked about using it with Chromium. I haven't
installed Chromium yet, but on Firefox I still get the error message
that I need to install Flash.

Install flashplayer. NOTE: restart firefox if it is running. It needs
to rescan plugin directory.

I think I skipped the step of restarting Firefox. Makes sense. I'll give that a try.

In firefox, click on the 3-horizontal-line symbol in upper right corner.
  Select "add-ons" from the menu.
On the page that pops up, click on "plugins".
Do you see a Skockware Flash entry? If so, on the right is a drop down
to choose how to activate. Choose wisely...
If not, there is an installation issue. As a workaround, extract the
libflashplayer.so from flash_player_npapi_linux.x86_64.tar.gz and stick
it into:
/home/beowulf/.mozilla/plugins/
restart firefox. AS above or "about:plugins" in URL bar.

I've never gotten pepperflash from SBo working on any browser. Added to
"life's to short" category.

Also note that the pepper-flash on SBo is not the same as the
chromium-pepperflash (for chromium) from Alien Bob. I find
chromium/chromium-pepperflash a bit more reliable than firefox/flash.

Okay. Thanks.
