I did not look for a user guide on the cdrom. I downloaded the guide from the above URL. Pages 41-42 described seting up the Ethernet (but the guide said to select TCP/IP rather than Ethernet for some reason). The IP address, netmask, and gateway are set. Changed the owner.group of /usr/lib/cups/filter/Xerox_Phaser_6000_6010/* to root.root. Trying to print a test page failed. The printer status shows "Rendering completed" but the job status shows "Filter failed." What should I check now?
