Thanks for the reply.
The version of Clear Linux OS that I downloaded is indeed the Live Desktop
DVD disc.
The BIOS is itself the culprit of this dilemma.
And I'm curious about whether or not this is a trend.
As Microsoft becomes more and more disliked for their operating systems.
And as Microsoft's software development environment becomes less and less
useful for creating desktop clients ( I call them fat clients ).
This appears to be a desperate move to disable the hardware entirely.
By the way I have no negative opinions about Microsoft Azure nor Office 365
(except for one tiny complaint about e-mail aliases).
