Tomas, Perhaps I'm too dense this morning but I don't understand. For example,
a) make sure it is not muted in the player (on the web site)
What player on the web site? If I start a video on a news site or YouTube the audio comes through the analog speakers and headset. No other player is running here; at least, not that I've loaded. The problem I'm trying to resolve is that the same videos' audio stream are not heard when I use either of the two digital headsets. Depending on what inputs and outputs are connected to the system pavucontrol offers a choice of analog or digital output. The analog outputs work; the digital ones don't. Same input signals.
