In this case, it _should_ be using Unix domain sockets. Specifically, it
should be using /tmp/.X11-unix/X0. None the less, I've seen problems
with hostname resolution that broke X apps. Arguably, in several cases
the app should've been using Unix domain sockets instead of Internet
sockets, but the fact remains.
