My brother is has to buy a laptop for law school, and he wants my opinion, but I know next to nothing about the world of laptops. I assume that he'll mostly be using it for MS-Word and looking up stuff on the Internet. The only things that he definately wants are a 15" widescreen and built-in wireless. He's considering a Dell refurbished. What do ya'll think?
I'm also considering buying a laptop do run Fedora on. I'm thinking something around $1500. I'm also interested in bad experiences with service deptartments and such.
