Hardly. I'd argue that Perl is more of a Transformer or Voltron. A kinda
weird spacial anomaly your eye can't quite focus on. What it is depends
on what angle you look at it from. It's one of the few languages that is
a viable replacement for nearly every other language in existence.

Python/Ruby (agile scripting) - Check
Java (large enterprise solutions) - Check
VB (agile/custom development) - Check
Haskell (research/advanced) - Sometimes
C (binary manipulation) - Occasionally
