Ah, yeah, but I think the original poster was building a personal machine, so the likelihood of failure must be much lower than in an ISP's situation. When I said el-cheapo, I was referring to the power supplies; should have phrased that part better. I was mostly just thinking out loud 'cause it dawned on me that I haven't had a single hard drive failure since I started buying better quality power supplies. Anyway, none of what I said applies to the kind of abuse an ISP puts on a machine; I was referring to personal use.
