The concept is more humorous then anything. 

So understanding human nature, you will realize that all recycling is 
doing is prolonging how long it takes for items to be thrown away and 
decompose back into CO2 which is eventually  released back into the 
atmosphere.  

Its a more accurate solution to dealing with how carbon affects our 
atmosphere, but I think its humor very few people get, so I wont try to 
explain why its funny.
