I used to really love ProFontWindows (a TTF version of ProFonts). Lately
I've been leaning toward the modified Bitstream Mono that is included
with most Linux distros these days. IIRC, the Fugals love a font named
Terminus.
If you really have a font that makes it hard to distinguis ( { it's past
time to switch. Using a good font is a surprisingly important part of
being more effective on the command line.
BTW, all email clients should be configured to use monospaced fonts by
default.
