Esteemed Plug members,

After much procrastination and many damaged CDs, I'm ready to start archiving data from my music CDs.

I know I should save to FLAC files first, but that's about all I know, so I'm looking for any tips & resources about the best way to create and consume a personal music archive. What can you suggest?

I personally just ripped all my cd's into MP3's and put all the cd's in boxes and store them in my closet. So all my music is just in MP3 format on my drives whenever I need them. If I ever lose my music I can always re-rip. I also burned the MP3's to CD and DVD so I don't have to re-rip.

Just an idea.
