I'm trying to setup a test environment using GFS. In my test environment, I
am trying to setup 3 GFS nodes that export their excess disk space. I am
trying to use clvm to setup a logical volume that will allow me to share the
space on all three nodes, and have the redundancy so that if one of the
nodes goes down, the remaining nodes can keep the integrity of the data
until a replacement is brought on. I would also like to be able to expand
the volume when I add additional nodes to the cluster (a future endeavor)

Right now, I have been able to get the nodes (right now it is running in a
two-node configuration) to cluster together and to update each other when I
update the cluster configuration and use the cman_tool utility to send the
updates out. The problem that I am running into is that when I use vgcreate
it creates the volume, but the other nodes can't seem to use/see it. man
vgcreate says that by default it is supposed to export the volume to the
cluster, I get the same result when I use the "--clustering y" to force it.

Google has failed me in this endeavor, though I keep looking, hoping that I
find something that I missed the first several times through. Any ideas on
what might be wrong? Or any tips on where I can look for a solution. It
seems most people use GFS with a SAN and don't set it up with this
configuration... Maybe it won't ever work for me, figure I need to at least
try.

Thanks
