Yeah, I would run vgcreate on one of the two nodes, and the second node
couldn't see it. I'm not sure what details you need. The more I look at this
though, the more and more it sounds like I shouldn't use it for what I am
attempting to do.

I have heard this a lot in relation to GFS. I decided awhile ago that
Gluster was out. The reason being, I wanted to use my 10 machines as chunk
servers and as application servers, but it appears that the chunk servers
need to be dedicated to just that. That is a waste of CPU and ram in my
current setup.

MooseFS on the other hand, looks like I can use it in tandem with other
services and it appears to be relatively easy to setup and deploy. I am
starting to think that this is the option I will go with. Does anyone know
what kind of throughput I can expect from MooseFS. Sounds like I should be
able to get 20-50M/s, if I am running several Xen/OpenVZ instances will that
be suitable for reading and writing in the virtual machines? I am hoping
that it won't cause too much slowing.
