I don't know if this will help much in diagnosing the networking problem I've been having with my HP laptop but I thought I'd throw this out there in hopes that somebody might be able to help me. I installed Ubuntu and Window XP as a duel boot. The network connection worked on the Ubuntu install for a few weeks as before. When the connection failed yesterday, I was hoping that when I booted to Windows that it would magically fix whatever was wrong with the Ubuntu connection when I rebooted to Linux. The network connection in Windows is working but I can't get the Linux connection to work. It's the same problem as before; the network connection light on the computer doesn't go on. Any thoughts as to what the problem might be?
