Thanks for that tip, very handy. I hadn't seen the Custom map before
(to be honest, there's a lot I haven't seen yet!). My only comment on
that feature is that it seems to be limited to just one alternative
("Custom") map per server - you can have each individual player on
either Standard or Custom, but I can already think of a few times when
it would be handy to have different maps per player.
Still, you've solved that problem so I shouldn't grumble!

This one is puzzling me. As far as I can tell I'm playing FLAC files,
and when I enquire through the Softsqueeze menus it seems to think its
playing a FLAC file at around 900kbits. But does Softsqueeze really do
native FLAC playing, or does it force a transcoding to MP3 (which,
given your comments, would explain the failure of the Scanner plugin
with it?) How would I tell if transcoding is taking place?
Again, not a serious problem for me but I am curious.
