Hi,

Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm trying to get AlienBBC to install correctly on Mac OS X 10.4.2
(Tiger). I can see all the AlienBBC menus fine, I get as far as
connecting after choosing play, this is where it all goes wrong.

I get no sound, then after a while the slimserver perl process CPU
usage increases, on the console you the following message constantly
printed:

/Users/userx/Library/PreferencePanes/SlimServer.prefPane/Contents/Resources/Get
Slim Server.sh: fork: Resource temporarily unavailable

The slimserver appears to be using up all the process resources when
trying to run the AlienBBC plugin, I have to kill the perl slimserver
process in the Activity monitor to get my Mac back to normal. This only
happens when trying play AlienBBC stations, slimserver is fine with my
iTunes library.

I've tried playing through both the Squeezebox 2 and Softsqueeze 2.0b9
and get the same results. I also tried installing slimserver to the
preferences pane for all users rather than my own but the same thing
happens.

Software versions:

Slimserver: 6.1.1
AlienBBC: 0.98
Mplayer: dev-CVS-0500May-17:40-3.3

mplayer is installed correctly running the following from the terminal
works:

mplayer -playlist

Anybody else been experiencing similar problems?
