Thank you all so much! All your guidance really helped me out.

Yes, I read the help file instructions but they were a bit "over my
head" as I am not familiar how to even locate or edit files in UNIX.
Your instructions were clear and worked perfectly.

In regards to using DHCP: I would like to simply use this, but then I
can't use the SlimServer remotely from another computer on my home
network or from work or stream in MP3 remotely - which is my specific
intended application. There is a piece of software called AccessTunes
for the MAC that claims to do the same thing, but I never was able to
get the trial version to work properly and the author wasn't much help,
besides he wanted $15 for software that didn't work outside of a LAN
even though he claims it does (I have a static IP). If I have a static
IP for the server then I can forward the port on my router to that
specific IP address always so I can sit at work and browse and listen
to my collection remotely (I already tested this out and was playing
music on my dad's computer over 150 kilometers away from my server
here, and it worked well - supercool).

About making the "dsl toram" the default boot configuration for SlimCD:
I have made a few bootable Windows CDs and wouldn't mind trying to
remaster a personalized copy of SlimCD that automatically boots to RAM
without the need for text input. I just don't really know what lines
to edit and what they need to say. The reason I ask is I am thinking
that it wouldn't take editing more than a few lines of code on a
specific file (I'm thinking this must be minirt24). As far as testing
out if it boots or not I can try that one myself if you could identify
the bootable image (I'm thinking isolinux.bin)).

I really appreciate the time you have taken to reply to me and also for
making all this a possibility, I mean this SlimCD thing really rocks!
Thanks again in advance,
