A re-install is generally a good idea but if you want to try a little more, I'll be a bit more explicit.
1. Ensure Slimserver is not running 2. Open dos box. You will get a black screen with a command line interface with a prompt something like "C:\Program Files\>" 3. Type in the following command - (omit the quotation marks" ) - don't worry about case. "cd C:\Program Files\SlimServer\server" 4. The prompt should now be "C:\Program Files\SlimServer\server>" 5. Type in the command "slim -d_plugin" 6. you will get a log of lines scrolling past - many will relate to other plugins such as Podcast, RSS feeds but amongst it all there should be lines something like "Requiring Plugins::Alien::Plugin:plugin" "Adding Alien::Plugin to menu: RADIO" This is a successful startup, In your case I expect there are two possibilities 1. No mention of Alien 2. Mentions Alien but fails to instal. Whichever happens it points the way to solving the problem. Use the scroll bar on the right side of the window to go back through the output. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=17938 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
