Thanks for that - yes, I was wondering where I would find out how to
test mplayer.

Anyway, my config is obviously slightly different from what you
expected in that mplayer.exe is in a subfolder called mplayer which in
turn is in the MSWinetc folder. This mplayer folder contains
mencoder.exe as well as mplayer.exe, some other files and 3 further
subfolders: codecs, docs and mplayer (again).

I added /mplayer to the file path and ran the test with this result:

"You need to obtain a new player...download the latest RealOne
Player... Once you have installed it you should try this clip again."

I also got "cannot load font c:/windows/fonts/arial.ttf" but don't
suppose that is material.
