Ah, I think that's a combination of caching somewhere and me renaming
the page when I published it last - it's definitely the second one
(with the hyphen rather than the underscore), and I've not got the
underscore version on the server any more. Sorry for any confusion.

I'll try to look at the Safari rendering issue, too, but that'll
probably be a bit slower as I don't easily have access to one. Blame it
on FrontPage.

Don't worry, I've not forgotten, but I wanted to get a release out
after quite a lot of other changes to make sure it was OK. Just as
well, as that 'duplicate artists' problem seems to be biting quite a
few people! I promise that'll be next on the list once I've done
something about that bug (but don't hold your breath as it's proving
very tricky).

Can you confirm if you have any playlists, and if it's only duplicating
artists? I've been doing quite a bit of digging and I think that's the
magic combination that causes the problem.

As far as I can tell, if you have any playlists, a "scan for changes"
or a "scan playlists only" will cause duplicate artists to be created.
Depending on whether you have daily automatic rescans enabled or not,
you may see duplicate artists continually created.

There are two ways to avoid that at the moment (neither of which are
satisfactory) - 1. don't have any playlists (this is the reason I've
never seen it myself, I think), 2. only do a full "clear and rescan",
don't have an automatic rescan scheduled, and don't use "browse music
folders" to introduce new music files you've just ripped.

I think I know why it happens, but I'm still trying to find exactly
where in the rescan code the server thinks it needs to create a new
instance of the artist. That's difficult as it looks like the server
"rescan" code has been designed to put off the casual viewer! If I
manage to eventually find it I'm hoping I can see a way of preventing
the problem in the first place.
