I believe the ffcook codec (which is the native RealAudio codec) is
built into mplayer and is not a library in a directory. 

The codecs directory will be used if you specify you want to use the
original external codec with the option "-ac racook" or mplayer needs a
codec for a RealAudio format not support by ffcook (e.g. SIPR as used by
NPR news).
