Thanks for the new info/debug program. After trying using the IP address, netbios name, local name and external FQDN in the settings to see whether it makes a difference (it does NOT), your special Slimremote version shed some light on the problem.
First some answers to your questions: 1. Running Ewe version 1.49 2. Nothing special about my setup... except (now the news discovered by your special SlimRemote app) It seems that the web browser object is playing games with us. The message box reveals the correct URL http://userid:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:9000/plugins/Album...blabla etc. Now the problem seems to be with the password protected Simserver. I cannot connect to the server via http://userid:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:9000 :( Therefore Slimremote has no chance to get the data this way either. I am not sure why it does not work. Is that a bug in Slimserver (or feature)? Can I chnage some setting in Slimserver to make this work? However, it seems that the problem is NOT within Slimremote but maybe you can reproduce the issue to tell me whether it is a general issue with Slimserver or just my setup.
