Many thanks. I'm not entirely sure what happened!
When I tried to run a SQL playlist which chooses from tracks rated 4 & 5 it briefly said "fail" on the SB display and when I looked at the web interface none of my tracks had a rating at all. A restart failed to fix this. I tried reinstalling Slimserver but when I restarted my PC the tray icon came on but the "lights" went straight out and the server stopped. Then I uninstalled Slimsever, reinstalled the latest (non-beta) version to a different folder and copied my Plugins folder across and it seems to work OK now. I'll check fully tonight. It has made me realise how important this data is though!
