Sorry I'm late to this party... Have you looked in the WebUI to see if your Squeezeplay shows there? I've had the issue where Squeezeplay won't connect just like you say, but I could still play music on it by using the WebUI or any other controller, like a Duet controller or one of the Android or iThing controllers. I've never got a resolution why I couldn't connect from the SqueezePlay interface.
