Well I started with a U3 when they first came out, as I thought it would be an improvement over the first pi.
I can't say I found a vast difference as I only have a small library and mostly stream. I thought that the usb connection was the way to go and so tried that, but my DAC has the difficult (pain in the arse) M2Tech OEM original can't be bothered with proper driver usb driver and I got fed up with trying to configure it correctly, although Stefan did provide the correct kernel. I tried the c1+ for much the same reason and again did not find any staggering improvement. I also found that not being tied into one OS to be beneficial, it's sometimes a challenge for me to do the hacking bit, but I feel good when it all works (small pleasures, indeed). HardKernel Support is not the best in the world IMHO. If your not in a rush (given the holiday period) pm me your address and I will post them down to you.
