Try the dev-3 that I've just pushed (make sure that volume feedback is enabled) but it could solve "player not playing straight away, until volume button is pressed". Somebody else had a similar problem and I think I found the reason why (some AirPlay devices - not true Apple ones - do not take into account volume command immediately after playback is resumed) LMS 7.7.5 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2.
