Hi Philippe,

thank you for your quick reply.
I get your point with scanning. The thing is that, for some reasons
(that are complicated to explain and maybe out of the technical scope of
this topic), i'm trying to have my Philips Airplay speaker always
visible as part of the LMS players like it is the case for all the other
players in my install (a physical SB receiver and a logical Squeezelite
receiver).

That's the reason why i was looking with attentions to the options
available in your for a solution that would not remove the player after
it has been discovered once.

My first attempt was to try : <remove_count>0</remove_count>
It made sense to me that after my Speaker has been discovered if i set
this option to 0 it would not disappear from the players if the speaker
disappear from the network (when i switch it off). But doing so the
speaker is not discovered/visible/available anymore (same problem as
with <scan_interval>0</scan_interval>).

That's the reason why i tried another route with :
<scan_interval>0</scan_interval>. I agree that this is not the most
obvious way to achieve my goal but it seemed to me that it was a
possible solution considering that :
- my LMS is installed on a server that is never swithched off
- and my Airplay speaker has a fixed IP on my LAN.
So after an initial scan i would not expect to need some rescan.

But i agree with you i would prefer any other solution to make sure that
the player is not removed.
What about my first idea with <remove_count>0</remove_count> ? Or maybe
a new option ?

Thank you for you help and support.
