Anyway, there is a property in the settings page of Custom Scan where you can raise the level of similarity included, by default its set to 80, its a number between 0-100 where 100 should mean very similar. You might also check to lookup the artist at lastfm and select similar artists and see if you get the same artists, if you don't there might be a bug in Custom Scan. When I lookup Astralasia on LastFM it doesn't seem to show Britney Spears at all as a similar artist (which probably is correct).
Have you rescanned slimserver after you run the Custom Scan scanning ? Custom Scan should refresh the artist identifiers after a slimserver scan but there might be something wrong here that is causing this. I think the problem is that it lists tags both for real artists and other type of contributors such as conductors and composers. When you right click on a selected tag it only lists the real artists which might result in empty tags if there are no real artists related to that tag. The correct behavior would be to only list tags related to real artists on the top level. Phil Meyer;151809 Wrote: > I don't seem to be able to create any new menus. You could also look in the log and see if you see any other errors then the one you already mentioned. -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.homeip.net) 'My download page' (http://erland.homeip.net/download) (Developer of 'TrackStat' (http://erland.homeip.net/download/do/viewapplication?name=slimserver-trackstat) , 'SQLPlayList' (http://erland.homeip.net/download/do/viewapplication?name=slimserver-sqlplaylist) , 'DynamicPlayList' (http://erland.homeip.net/download/do/viewapplication?name=slimserver-dynamicplaylist), 'Custom Browse' (http://erland.homeip.net/download/do/viewapplication?name=slimserver-custombrowse),'Custom Scan' (http://erland.homeip.net/download/do/viewapplication?name=slimserver-customscan) and 'RandomPlayList' (http://erland.homeip.net/download/do/viewapplication?name=slimserver-randomplaylist) plugins) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=29156 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
