I have a scenario with synched player groups and family accounts, maybe a bit to special but I mention it anyway if you find a way manage it.
Default only the "main" player in the group is listed under Spotify Connect, as expected. If this player is used as a Spotify Connect device by one account, then the synched players (slave players, that is now playing what the main player is playing) are listed as Spotify Connect devices for other accounts. The can lead to some confusion...
