Hi mherger, thanks for your help:

Just to recapitulate my issue with the plugin in my best detail,
-My system is-:

Code:
--------------------
    Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.1 - 1512734075 @ Fri Dec 8 04:08:55 PST
2017
  Hostname: kaban.local
  OS: OS X 10.11.6 - EN - utf8
  Platform: unknown
  Perl Version: 5.18.2 - darwin-thread-multi-2level
  Audio::Scan: 0.95
  Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.34_01 (sqlite 3.7.7.1)
  Total Players Recognized: 4
--------------------

-My problem-: Spotty displays information, album art and other things
from my Spotify account correctly; playhead progresses as if the song
were actually playing -but there is no sound.-

-I've tried-:

- Going to the file types menu and unchecking each of spotty's file
  types to see which one would work; with FLAC off the track skips to
  the next one (or Don'tStopTheMusic if the playlist is empty) but
  otherwise same problem.
- Today I tried rolling back Spotty to the last known working version
  for me, which was 1.3.3 yet that didn't work either.
- My FLAC codec is good, it's the most recent one included in the
  server. Tried C-3PO to see if I could tell it to transcode via it's
  version of SOX / FFMPEG and instead it turned everything (even regular
  file playback) into incomprehensible noise (However the Spotty
  playback wasn't technically silent though but it was just random
  noise)

Everything is still stock and I've tried to touch as few things as
possible as to not break anything further; previously there were no
errors yet since I tried some things today I have gotten these to show
up with the silent playback:

Hopefully this will be what we need to get Spotty working again, it's
been a few months;
I'm not sure what else I could do to force Spotty to decode the audio
and make sound, my best guess would be modifying the custom-convert.conf
file to include a path to a better working flac / lame converter if the
one on my system isn't good enough (I haven't touched any of these
things this is just a theory, also all my other local files are in FLAC
so I know the FLAC decoder is working)

Much obliged for developing the plugin~
