Why would you do that, there is no repo anymore. And LmsUpdate was never
linked to the package center anyway. Only LmsRepack was. But we are
talking about LmsUpdate, which always needs a manual installation.

If the version number of the current package is lower than the installed
version, yes. Or, you have to change the version number manually
everytime you want to update the package.
