Does uninstalling and reinstalling help? Did you maybe buy it with a
different account for which the iPad might have forgotten the password
(credentials expire after a few months)? In that case it helpt to log
out of the App Store and re-login with the correct account.
I've seen this a lot with various apps over the years and it always
takes a while of trying to get it fixed but in the end it always works.

Is that when adding tracks using the "Add to end" mode or the context
menu?
Sorry for all the questions but it would really help so much if I could
reproduce this.
