Have you tried Spotify support/forums? There definitely seems to be an issue with the Android build. At least for three of you :-)

Since my last post there was no Squeezebox player visible as a Connect
player anymore. Tried an iPad but also no luck. Rebooted the windows 10
server; installed LMS updates; switched players with no success.

This rather sounds like the Spotty deamon crashing. Did you check the server.log?

The iPad (with another family account) still shows no connected
squeezebox.

This would happen if Spotty crashed because of the local discovery mode. In this case Spotty would disable that mode, rendering devices accessible to users with the same account only. Can you check whether that option is checked in the settings?
