Another thing you could test for me that would be useful. I've done this other application https://github.com/philippe44/AirConnect that basically runs bridges between AirPlay and UPnP/Chromecast. The UPnP version, for every UPnP/DLNA player it finds, create a virtual AirPlay device. If you have any iXXX controller (including iTunes), could you try to run it (there are versions for all platforms) and see if it works on the M1CLic? The reason for asking is that audio is being re-encoded using flac so if the M1 is happy with the header generated here, I will be able to mimic it. The difference between airupnp and squeeze2unpn is that airupnp uses the real flac encoder, but squeeze2upnp builds a header "manually", but the important point is that the header is built and sent before the whole file is build (which is not the case when you do a full flac off-line conversion, where the flac converter updates the header once it is done with encoding), so I will be able to know for sure what works with the M1 LMS 7.7, 7.8 and 7.9 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2.
