This sounds like a hardware issue. Are youusing a Raspberry a Pi ? Which model ? Are you using a DAC ? If so how is it connected USB or other (e.g. i2s) ? How is the Pi connected to network ? During buffering the player is told not to output data so "output" will be waiting for audio data. The plugin has nothing to do with this just LMS. If you are using a DAC the DAC seems to generate white noise when waiting for audio.
