USB CD drive are USB hogs quite unlike a HDD - on Pi2B Ethernet shares
USB chip.
Buffering taking 30mins is wrong. When I use CDplayer on a PC - playing
starts within seconds.
There have a number of users of CDplayer on a Pi and none have
complained about delay.
If there was not enough power - CD would not read.
You still have answered questiuons abotu squeezelite setup and are you
using a DAC.
When you say Filetypes settings are as installed - does this mean you
cannot set CDplayer for Flac setting to "cdda2wav/flac" - if not then
you have a faulty LMS installation.
With the test command I gave above - how long does it take to rip a
track of abotu 3 mins long
Code:
--------------------
icedax device=/dev/cdrom --output-format wav -gui output-endianess=little
-quiet -track=5 - >trackrip.wav
--------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------
