Hi Paul, thanks for replying. Actually the fault was rectified a week
ago accidentally! We co-incidentally changed internet service providers
(for other reasons), which in itself made no difference, but 3 days
later when their new modem arrived and was hooked up Spotty started
working again. Mystery for me is that with the old modem I tried two
machines running LMS and Spotty, both connected by LAN (a PC laptop, and
the pi3) and only the PC Spotty worked. New modem, and they both work.
My knowledge of networking is not great enough for me to understand why
the pi was blocked, especially when it had been working with the same
modem some months before. Anyway, all good now! :cool:
