I believe that this has always been the case, I do not believe its the switch from WiFi to Eth or vice versa. I think this is an issue that inbetween the switch the network goes "Down" I have seen this when changing the DNS or IP address etc on a wired only PC I simply close SL-X and restart it and this has worked every time for me.
