Volume setting behaviour is possibly set to sync volumein advanced settings of the LMS
You can set it that every player can be separately adjusted or set to a fixed output (in case you are using a Pi via Av receiver) if you want to use its own Remote vor volume setting. This is how i had set it up for my 2 SB Radios and the Pi on the AV Rec. I am only struggling with the handover from one device to another.
