I noticed this article yesterday:

There is a slightly worrying use of the term compression towards the end
of the article.

The same effect is apparent on BBC iPlayer Radio Live Streams when the
time signal pips are heard about 35 - 40 seconds after the same on Live
FM Radio. (Here in the UK).

Let's hope they don't try to cure this with "compression" too.
