I doubt anyone will cringe, have you seen Sleestack's multichannel
setup?

You can probably answer this one better than I, because you have a
receiver to try it out on. If you are you able to attenuate with the
digital volume control and still get multichannel passthrough, I would
imagine it will work. Is it just the 24 Bit stuff that won't pass with
RG or digital attenuation?

Maybe installing the EQ and playing with it would be a good test of
passthrough.

That sounds like the perfect place for a bookshelf full of books.

IMHO the best use for that would be getting test tones and setting the
9 band EQ for flattest response by ear. I only got marginal results
with a behringer ecm8000 and Maudio mobilepre, but find that I can
improve the sound noticably with the EQ (no disrespect to the plugin,
I'm new to DRC and didn't invest a lot of time).

YMMV, but I would try to borrow the equipment if possible. A friend let
me borrow the Maudio indefinitely so I can't loan it out, but I'd be
willing to mail you the Behringer mic to borrow for a month or so if
you'd like.
