I was the one with a persistent buffering problem on windows - discussed a few pages back. Just for information: my iplayer plugin updated to 1.6.2 and since then it's been completely fine - I've even switched to "no delay" and never get any buffering at all.
Not completely sure why it's fixed but who cares: it's brilliant.
