I have to agree that networking seems to be involved in this issue in
general, and when I read your post Kees, that's what I thought, and have
been thinking. RP FLAC, and of the four stations can play rock solid for
me for hours, but it seems to not handle network exceptions as well as
say a standard stream. Also, the fact that some have allot of trouble
where others do not, and other inconsistancies, might point to this.

I changed my ISP provider recently (for other reasons), and my
experience is almost 100% fine.

But, we had a significant wind storm here (my ISP is cable, above
ground). The RP FLAC streams would play a few seconds and freeze (I had
to manually restart), the 320 kbps was much better but allot of
rebuffering. I finally got fed up and played from my library.

It may or may not be related, but if I sync and unsync players in the
middle of a FLAC stream it almost never works without a restart, where
the 320kbps or my library works fine.

Just some observations.

Jim
