I copied the latest bridge to a separate machine running ubuntu 19.04 and ran it as I said, as my normal user, and it created an xml file in my downloads directory. If I start adding other parameters it doesn't function, but that is not the purpose of this test. All I am trying to do for now is create a config file. Have you tried doing exactly this, with just the -i parameter? As I understand it you are on some flavour of linux.
I have no idea at all what is going on for you and some others, but it has to be an access rights issue of some sort. Can you clarify precisely what system you are running - hardware, operating system, LMS version, upnpbridge version, and so on. LMS 7.9.2 on PC, Xubuntu 18.04, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps. 2 Touchs & EDO. LMS plugin UPnP/DLNA Bridge to MF M1 CLiC (A308CR amp & ESLs) & Marantz CR603 UPnP renderers. Also Minimserver & Upplay to same & to upmpdcli/mpd PC renderers. Squeezelite to Meridian USB Explorer DAC to PC speakers/headphones.
