I've just checked the settings and both are disabled (optimize pre-buffering and don't announce).
Did you check the mobile phones, too? Are they on the same network?One other issue could be a firewall blocking discovery mode. If the LMS machine had the firewall up, the daemon could well be running, but not reachable from any other machine.
