Michael, just a question from an artist in our household who has songs on Spotify... do plays of a song using Spotty register at Spotify as plays for that song/artist? t seems to us that they do not register at Spotify as his stats do not appear to change when I play one of his tracks. Could it be revised so that it does register?
Now that's an interesting question... but unfortunately outside my control. I must admit that at some point I realized that my listening habits through SB would not be represented in my listening history on Spotify. I never thought much about it, and was even happy, that my kids' listening wasn't tracked... But what you say is slightly concerning, as not getting the artist paid is not at all the intention of this (or its underlying) project. I know that the guys from librespot (the library I'm using) enforce the use of Premium accounts for this very reason. I'll ping them.
