FWIW the availability schedules, e.g.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/availability/bbc_radio_one.xml, are, at
present, returning 200 responses, and are not being redirected to an
https source.

I can't help but think that, in the context of LMS, requiring "https
security" is somewhat overkill, "secure" is a decidedly relative
concept. Not that I have any particular understanding of the subject.
Continued support of older devices that (from their owners' perspective)
are otherwise perfectly functional seems to me to be worthy objective
and, very likely, reasonably free of risk. I'm delighted my "https
unaware" Radios continues to work well, albeit with some help from LMS.
